The DELE tests four things: reading, listening, writing and speaking. Preparation starts by finding out in which of them you are furthest from the level, and works on each one in the exam format, until you arrive with the level and the confidence of knowing the test.
Which DELE level you need
DELE A2 for Spanish citizenship
The level required for the residence-based citizenship application, together with the CCSE test. It has a deadline, so the preparation is planned backwards from your exam session.
DELE B1 and B2 for university and work
B2 is what most universities and master’s programmes ask for; B1, some degrees and many employers. For a visa or a permit, the level stated in the call.
DELE C1 and C2
If your job or your studies require it. Prepared the same way: skill by skill and in the exam format.
How the course works

The level first
A free level test tells us whether you already have the exam level or how far you are from it. If you are not there yet, you get there with the Spanish course and prepare the exam in the final stretch.
A plan by skill
Reading, listening, writing and speaking: each with its own work, in the order your result calls for.
The exam format
You practise the tasks exactly as they appear in the DELE, timed, and corrected according to what the exam rewards.
Feedback by skill
After every session you know what you have improved and what is left. No surprises on exam day.

One-to-one or in a small group, in person or online

Price
From €39.60 an hour
In private lessons, the published rate of the Fixed Plan (€39.60 an hour) or Free Style (€44), and from €21.60 per person in a pair. In a small group, a quote based on people and weeks. The initial interview is free.

Which DELE level do I need?
For Spanish citizenship, A2. For most universities, B2. For a visa or a job, whatever the call for applications states. If you are not sure, we look at it together in the interview.
How long does the preparation take?
From 4 to 10 weeks, with 1 to 3 sessions a week depending on your starting level and the exam date. If you are not at the level yet, first you get there, then you prepare the exam.
How much does it cost?
In private lessons, from €39.60 an hour on the Fixed Plan. In a small group, a quote based on the number of people and weeks. We confirm it in the interview.
Do you register me for the exam?
We guide you on the exam session and the exam centre and help you with the registration. Fees and dates are set by the Instituto Cervantes.
In person or online?
Both. At the school, at Lepant 270, or by video call.
What if my Spanish is still basic?
We start with the standard or intensive Spanish course to reach the level, and prepare the exam in the final stretch.
Do I need the DELE A2 for Spanish citizenship?
