What makes a class here different
Groups of 7 on average
Teaching up close needs small rooms. More than half of our cosy classrooms are designed for 6 to 8 people at most, and the rest for up to 11. In a group of 15 or 20 at other language schools there is no time for everyone to speak, and no close follow-up.Fewer people in the room means more turns to speak and a teacher who knows exactly where you are. Groups are formed by real level.
Speaking is the goal
Speaking is assessed in every class, not in a final exam. Grammar is a tool to communicate, not the point.
Speaking Club included
A weekly hour of guided conversation, B1 to C1, included in the adult English course. What other schools charge extra for.
Reports for the family
In Littles and Kids, a weekly and a termly report: what was worked on, what is going well and what is not. No adjectives, just examples.
Money-back first week
The whole first week to decide. If the group does not fit, we change groups or refund the part of the course you have not used.
One method for each age
You don’t learn the same way at 3, at 8, at 15 and at 40
Each stage has its own material and its own way of working. What never changes: in class, you speak.

The school
A language school in the Eixample, next to the Sagrada Família
Classrooms with natural light, a café area where people arrive early and stay late, and a front desk that knows every student by name. Since 2022 at Lepant 270, in Barcelona’s Eixample, a short walk from the Sagrada Família and Monumental: metro L2 and L5 (Sagrada Família) and buses V21, D50 and H10.
We are an independent school: the teachers you see in the reviews are the ones in the classroom, and the prices you see on the website are the prices you pay.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to take a level test?
For almost every course, yes, so that you start in a group where you can speak from day one. It is free, takes about fifteen minutes at the school, or you can do it online right now (the test is in Spanish), with no sign-up. For Littles (ages 3 to 6) we do a trial class instead of a test.
Can I join in the middle of the school year?
Yes, if there is a place and your level fits a group that is already running. The price is adjusted to that situation; in that case the one-off payment prices do not apply.
What does the price include?
The group classes, the level test and, in adult English, a weekly hour of Speaking Club. Course material, enrolment and the place deposit are paid once at the start and are published on every price page.
What if the group is not right for me?
You have the whole first week of classes to decide. If the level, the pace or the group do not fit, we find you another one or refund the part of the course you have not used.
Where is the school and how do I get there?
At Carrer de Lepant 270, in the Eixample, a short walk from the Sagrada Família and Monumental: metro L2 and L5 (Sagrada Família) and buses V21, D50 and H10. Drop in to see the school, or book a fifteen-minute visit.
Do you teach both English and Spanish?
Yes: English from age 3 to adult C1, Business and Legal English for professionals and companies, and Spanish for foreigners with DELE exam preparation. Everything is in person at the same school; private lessons can also be online.
Spanish or Catalan: which should I learn first?
Spanish first, for almost everyone who has just arrived: everyone in Barcelona speaks it and it solves the doctor, the town hall and the job interview from day one. Catalan comes much faster afterwards. We explain where you need each one. We teach Spanish, not Catalan.
